| Thank
you for visiting my website.
I am a recent graduate of Penn State University, achieving a degree in journalism and a minor in military studies. I am currently living in Northern Virginia and working as a freelance reporter for Career TV, a relief staff and character development activities coordinator at Youth For Tomorrow, and a contract public speaker for the Monster's Making It Count Program. I have been accepted to attend graduate school at Regent University in Virginia Beach but have decided to defer my admission until next fall.
I grew up in a military family and have spent my whole life traveling the country and breaking stereotypes. I have been an ice hockey goalie since the third grade and was the starting goalie for the PSU Lady Icers from 2002-2005. While in college, I was also an Air Force cadet and now I compete in the Miss America pageant system. It is safe to say I'm not your typical... anything!
To encourage other young women to break down stereotypes, write their own self definitions, and become leaders in their communities, I founded Pos-Pow, an organization dedicated to building self-esteem and leadership skills in young women.
Please take a look around and learn more!
